Sister Amal Mustafa
Amal Mustafa is a compassionate educator with over 18 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching from Bowling Green State University. Amal brings a wealth of knowledge, a deep commitment to data-driven student growth, and a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for all learners.
A core belief that drives her work is that every child has the potential to learn and grow, and that all children—regardless of age or ability—deserve dignity and respect. This philosophy is evident in her warm teaching style, her attentiveness to each student’s voice, and the trust she builds with families and learners alike.
Amal has also been involved in the WCMA Youth Committee for over 9 years, helping to plan programs for youth of all ages. Her well-rounded experience and student-centered values make her not just an educator but a mentor and advocate for lifelong learning.
Amal currently plays a key leadership role at RISE Islamic Academy, helping establish the foundation of the early childhood program, including, but not limited to, curriculum implementation, research-based teaching strategies, data-driven student assessments, and ongoing communication with parents. She looks forward to continuing her hard work to grow RISE Islamic Academy into a school where children become leaders of their Islamic communities.
