Ruba Muhsen is an accomplished educator with over 24 years of experience. A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, she has taught a wide range of subjects—including Islamic Studies, Arabic, and core academic topics—from kindergarten through high school in the US public schools.
Her teaching journey has taken her through diverse educational settings in both the US and abroad, allowing her to connect with students across all age groups and learning styles.

Ruba is passionate about youth development, actively volunteering in WCMA youth programs, leading summer and winter camps, and conducting Islamic studies sessions for young girls. Her talents extend to event planning, parent coordination, and translation of school communications. With a love for reading and writing and a deep passion for working with children, Ruba continues to make a lasting impact both in and out of the classroom.

Ruba lived in Kuwait and Qatar for 16 years, where she established and managed a bilingual preschool, overseeing curriculum development, staff leadership, and day-to-day operations. She is deeply passionate about early childhood education and holistic child development. She also worked at an international school in Qatar as a school parent liaison, where she led parent-focused programs and published a weekly newsletter for the school in both Arabic and English. And planned events for the school.

Ruba has been an essential part of establishing RISE, contributing significantly to its foundation, growth, and day-to-day success. She has been a driving force behind RISE’s development, structure, and continued success. overseeing program coordination, teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qur’an, managing daily classroom operations, supporting staff, and maintaining strong communication with parents.
Ruba brings with her a rich blend of educational experience, cultural sensitivity, and a heart for nurturing young learners in a faith-centered environment.
